CUNY Pipeline Program

The mission of the CUNY Pipeline Program is to increase opportunities for members of under-privileged groups who are interested in pursuing careers in college teaching and research. I have worked with the program as a Mentor, Coordinator, and Instructor of Graduate School 101 and Critical Thinking and Writing.

Intercambio de lenguas

I am a volunteer instructor for Intercambio de Lenguas (Language Exchange), sponsored by the Endangered Language Alliance and the East Harlem Neighborhood Network. I provide English conversational and literacy instruction for immigrant women from Mexico and Central America who are speakers of indigenous languages, and I offer support to projects that foster use and transmission of their native indigenous languages.
